Sadly real life horrors(House of Dracula was released in December 1945, seven months of the discovery of Nazi death camps) make this film seem tepid and uninteresting even at the time, but to be fair, House of Dracula has its oments esp as the attempts by Baron Latos(Count Dracula, played by John Carradine) attempts to seduce nurse Milizia Morell(Martha O’Driscoll) into “undeath”, even into taking off her crucifix(Milizia like actress Martha O’Driscoll is presumably a Roman Catholic)!
