Remember Fanged Up? Eat Locals? Attack of the Adult Babies? Evil Aliens? Here’s another one for that particular FrightFest slot – a lowbrow British horror comedy with gross-out gags (plenty of ripped-off dicks, a character who repeatedly complains that she’s shat herself), geezer-type characters, a third-hand premise (male strippers vs resurrected witch hag), a few actual funny moments, some talented cameo performers coasting (Steve Oram, Juliet Cowan, Alan Ford as a ham-and-pineapple hedgehog) and some familiar faces (Perry Benson, Mark Monero). Written and directed by Marc Coleman, who made Manfish, it’s too throwaway to be much of an ordeal – but a bit more ambition would be appreciated. Wet Dreams, a failing troupe of Fully Monty knock-offs, are hired for a hen do in a remote village hall, chained inside, and find that their ripped-off dicks are essential in a man-hating coven’s rite to bring back Agnes, who was executed by intolerant blokes in olden times. Oh, leading bloke Alan (Dean Kilbey) finds his estranged daughter Daisy (Barbara Smith) is under one of the folk horror masks, but she’s not really committed to murdering him. The soundtrack features Chas n Dave, naturally. The title Black Magic Mike was just lying there …
