   ‘M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Old” – aren’t we all, dear … This calls for a spot of ‘Director’s names appended to the title makes a sentence …’ To wit (to who?): Stanley Kubrick’s ‘A Clockwork Orange’ (see? He even admits it), Stanley Kubrick’s ‘Full Metal Jacket’ (very fetching!). The author joins in: Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’! (Gasp! The old bloodsucker was Irish and not Transylvanian all along! It was all a confession! But all the good stuff is). I’ll post more as and when but leave you with the definitive: ‘John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing”! (Funny, I thought The Play was …) … So Childs and MacReady regard each other with suspicion as they freeze needlessly. All the while The Thing was offscreen, the music maker, playing the tune that the rest all convulsively jerk, jig and twist to.
