  1. Hmm, that doesn’t sound too bad at all. I can take or leave found footage films but when done right they can be quite effective . Think I’ll get off my butt and go and see this based on your recommendation

  2. I’m absolutely baffled: how did Wingard, who in the Guest seemed to be aiming for a return to 70s and early 80s craftsmanship, mess things up so badly? He was given a licence to explore a wonderful woodland setting and an interesting unseen monster, and delivered us one of the worst fiascos in the whole of sci fi fantasy and horror of the last few years. Adam, you cannot be bothered to unfold a story, so you bully us with oppressive, violent, aggressive sound design. I literally feel as if my ten pounds has been stolen from me; I rarely feel as cheated as this after going to the cinema, and it is the first time in many years that I have felt genuinely angry at the sheer blundering incompetence of these people who extract huge wages from the rest of us and call themselves filmmakers. The early reviews of this film back in July have convinced me of the role of studio bribery among web critics with large followings (not you of course Kim). I’m sorry to sound extreme, but am genuinely, genuinely disgusted at the low quality of this,
